Partners
The Institute believes fundamentally in partnership and believes it can best achieve its mission of developing and delivering outstanding higher education by working with others who share our ambition and beliefs. We deliver CIWM courses to thousands of students across the world through our academic partnerships.
We work in partnerships of several types and foster close links with our local community.

Academic partners
We work with prestigious academic partners to provide University degrees to thousands of students throughout the world. Many of our partners are in UK; America countries franchised or validated programmes to their students. As pioneers of this type of partnership we are now one of the largest providers of higher education to students across the globe under full Credit Transfer System and also the largest provider if reciprocal arrangements with other professional bodies in Africa.

- Academic partners
Many of our partners are delivering CIWM franchised or validated programmes to their students. There are many students on such programmes outside the Africa and 2000 in the West Africa. The Institute is also pleased to have agreements with schools, colleges and universities - again, worldwide - whose students can progress or articulate to CIWM after reaching agreed qualifications. Several hundred students progress to the institute in this way each year. We also have a large range of study abroad partnerships with institutions that want us to send students to the institutions for a summer, semester or year.

We have pioneered a range of partnership arrangements:

  • Through articulation and progression agreements, we welcome students to the institute who have reached levels of attainment in trusted partner institutions in the West Africa and all over the world. As well as welcoming students from trusted schools and colleges as they move on to higher education, such arrangements also include, for example, a two year course of study in a home country, then a final year at abroad in America.
  • Many further and higher education providers throughout the world teach our professional courses designed by CIWM and leading to a Xavier University and West Coast University, Panama Central America, Irish University Business School, UK and other partner universities degree.
  • The institute provides validation and quality processes on institutions’ own courses.

The Institute is proud to have more than 30 partners worldwide who share our ambitions:

  • to develop and deliver outstanding higher education
  • to give the best possible access for students to higher education through regional, national and international progression and other agreements

Become a partner
The Institute is a market leader in the provision of transnational education. We have been delivering high quality CIWM programmes to students around the world for over 5 years and are proud to have developed an impressive network of international collaborative partnerships worldwide. Our international strategy is designed to build upon our success by seeking to provide significantly more opportunities for students to study globally recognised CIWM programmes in the countries in which they live and work.

We recognise that each of our partners is unique, with diverse operational needs and strategic aspirations, and we plan our collaborative arrangements accordingly. The most common types of partnerships we deal in are as follows:

Articulation
An articulation agreement is a formal arrangement that enables successful students from an identified course at your institution to gain automatic entry to and advanced standing towards a named undergraduate degree programme with our partner University. The entry criteria and level of credits to be transferred are pre-determined under the agreement.

For an articulation agreement with our institute, your institution will need to provide information to the Institute Registrar for its consideration.

The Centre for International Education will be happy to provide advice and guide you through the process. For detailed information about our procedures for approving Articulation Agreements, please refer to the Registrar: info@cism-ng.org or cisminfo@yahoo.com.

Our local Regional Offices will be available to support your application and provide in-country support. As partner, you will also have the services of a link contact in Nigeria and in Ghana to co-ordinate and develop our relationship.

Progression
A progression agreement is a formal arrangement that facilitates the movement of students from pre-degree or preparatory studies at your institution onto the initial stage of an undergraduate degree programme with our affiliate university partners.

We will be happy to provide initial advice and guide you through the process. Our local regional offices will be available to help you with your application and provide in-country support.

Our partnerships are strongly supported by our academic teams in Nigeria and our Centre for International Education incorporating our dedicated Collaborative Partnerships Office. Support is not just provided from Nigeria and Ghana however. CIWM has a network of Regional Offices across the world.

For further information on any of these or to register your interest in becoming a partner, then email to: enquiries@cism-ng.org, cisminfo@yahoo.com.
