University Partnership:
At present, WCU delivers international degree, as well as executive development programs and corporate-specific programs though distance education or through affiliated colleges and centres in the many countries, but not all the affiliated centers offer all these courses.

CIWM is affiliated with a West Coast University, Panama, and also signed an Articulation Agreement with in which all our membership will be awarded with both B.Sc and MBA.

The Certified Institute of Warehousing and Materials Management have developed a unique relationship with the West Coast University, Panama. This valuable initiative enables students to obtain or to be awarded West Coast University, B. Sc. Honours, MBA & PhD degrees in the following courses:

• B. Sc in Stores & Materials Management
• B. Sc in Purchasing and Supply Management and
• B. Sc in Business Administration and Management
• B. Sc in Logistics and Supply Management
• MBA in Warehousing and Materials Management
• MBA in Logistics & Supply Chain Management
• MBA Business Administration
• PhD in any of the Above Disciplines
• Hon. PhD in any of the Above Discipline.

While taking their CIWM Examinations and to study for West Coast University MBA programme upon successful completion of our professional stage II ( final level/Graduate Conversion Program).

Breakdown:
West Coast University will award Bachelor Degrees in any of the above courses to every student who enrolls in our program, be simultaneously enrolled for Bachelor Degree at WCU under Credit Transfer System and be allotted a WCU ID, upon completion of our Foundation, Intermediate and Professional Examination Stage I.

West Coast University will re-enroll you after the award of a bachelor’s degree for its MBA program under credit Transfer System and will allot another ID to you. Upon successful completion of our professional stage II (Final level) and submission to the University of a Research Project/Thesis in relevant areas, WCU will issue MBA Degree to the candidates at this level.
This MBA is a unique qualification offered to CIWM member, and develops through a strategic alliance between CIWM and West Coast University.

An MBA is internationally acknowledged to be a premier business qualification, and CIWM and West Coast University have responded to these needs by creating an MBA, tailor-made for qualified Warehousing and Materials Managers, supported online, and providing an opportunity to share and develop ideas with experience professional from around the world.

Course Structure
Professional Examinations: The institute’s professional examinations consist of 24 courses sub divided into three (3) stages Foundation, Intermediate and professional stages. (PE1 and PEII) The professional is sub divided into 2 parts of 6 courses each.

Foundation
Intermediate
Professional Exam I (B. Sc. will be awarded at the completion of PE I)
Professional Exam II (MBA will be awarded at the completion of final PE II)

Note: We also expect applications for certification from our existing, as well as passed out STUDENT or ASSOCIATE, FULL MEMBER AND FELLOW MEMBERSHIP

Pre-requisite for the award of Degree or Bachelor Degree in any of the above courses is FULL PASS from the CIWM Professional Examination Stage I.

Pre-requisite for the award of Master Degree in any of the above courses is FULL PASS from the CIWM Professional Examination Final Stage II or ACIWM Membership Certificate.

DOCTOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION - DBA
The overall goal of this DBA is to develop practicing managers and business professionals as both thinkers and doers and equip them with the capability to make a leadership contribution to their own organizations and the wider global industries and communities in which they are involved.

As distinct from PhD research that focuses mainly on contributions to theoretical knowledge, the research emphasis of this DBA is on making a contribution to professional practice and/or policy.

Candidates are assessed by research papers (100%).
The entire PhD/DBA program can be completed at respective local learning centres.

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY - PHD
Doctoral Degree is only offered to matured candidates holding the Institute Full Membership or Fellow Membership Certificate and Master degree, with sufficient exposure to teaching, practice and research and be able to conduct their own research to complete and submit their thesis to the international examination committee of WCU through The Certified Institute of Warehousing and Materials Management, Lagos, Nigeria.
